School Year End 2014

So hard to believe but the end of another school year is upon us. Congratulations to all of the graduates and all of the students moving on to their next educational challenge. Museum Village would like to thank all of the schools and children who visited here this school year in the fall of 2013 and spring of 2014. We hope through the hands-on experiences we provide here a new spark was lit and new goals were met and more were DSCN1230added. I hope that by coming to this 19th Century Living History Museum everyone was inspired in one way or the other to enhance a growing curiosity. Perhaps the next Archeologist will credit Museum Village for the inspiration; hopefully the next History Teacher will want to continue the tradition and bring their students to the museum; and, overall we hope that the love of learning about our ancestors way of life will inspire new creativity and hope for our future leaders.

This was a wonderful year and the experiences that the children had will go a long way toward realizing future dreams. The laughter of students enjoying the day away from the classroom is priceless. Yet, they may have learned more on this short visit to Museum Village than can be imagined. The smiles as they made a candle; the awe as they watched the blacksmith hammer; the look in their eye as they sat in a one room school house from years gone; plus so much more. Memories like this last a life time and stimulate future dreams. Let these dreams turn into goals and these goals turn into accomplishments. Building the future, preserving the past! Museum Village hopes are pinned to the shirt tails of so many of our visitors. Good luck to all students and visitors of the museum. May we see you in the not-too-distant future and may your trip here be shared will family and friends for many years to come.
