Since Museum Village first openend its doors in 1950, more than one million school children have visited the museum on elementary school trips. Many adults visiting the museum are surprised to suddenly remember having visited as a child, with fond memories of making candles and brooms.

Students from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut travel to Museum Village to experience with their own senses what rural America was like in the late nineteenth century.

Museum Village plays a key role in educating our youth by taking history out of the classroom and providing teachers with an invaluable tool needed to fulfill the teaching mandates for local history.
