SCHOOLHOUSE

SCHOOLHOUSE

This building is a reimagining of the Monroe stone schoolhouse, which was built in 1805. Like most rural 19th century schools, the Monroe School was a small, one-room building filled with students of many ages. When you come this building, you will find out what education was like in the 19th century, and how different it was from school today, for both students and teachers.
